K Sivan :- He is the current ISRO Chairman. K Sivan joined ISRO in the year 1982 and has contributed to various projects such as complete mission planning, mission design, integration, and analysis. He has led as a chief architect of project 6D trajectory simulation software and SITARA .
He is the man behind the commissioning of the simulation facility in ISRO to perform mission & analysis.K Sivan also developed and executed day of launch wind biasing strategy (this makes the launching of a rocket at any day and in any weather or wind conditions). K Sivan has developed innovative strategies for launching the MARS Mission by using PSLV.Under his leadership, the historical achievement of GSLV flight has been achieved.
A S Kiran Kumar :- Mr. Alur Seelin Kiran Kumar is the recipient of many National and International Awards. He has been bestowed with Padma Shri Award in 2014.A S Kiran Kumar was the man behind the launch of Chandrayaan 1 and Mars Orbiter.
He has been presented with International Academy of Astronautics laurels for Team Achievement Award for Chandrayaan 1 and Cratosat.Kiran Kumar also developed an Indian National Regional Navigation System (IRNSS) and GAGAN.
Dr. K. Radhakrishnan :- Under his chairmanship, India’s first interplanetary mission Mangalyaan was launched.
Shri G.Madhavan Nair :- Chandrayaan-1 India’s first lunar probe was launched under G Madhavan Nair.He is also the man behind ASTROSAT and he also launched schemes like telemedicine, Tele-education and disaster management support system.Under his tenure, vital infrastructures were built and critical technologies were developed.
Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan :- Under the leadership of Dr Krishnaswamay Kasturirangan as Chairman, ISRO space program achieved many milestones such as PSLV and GSLV . He was the Project Director for experimental earth observation satellites, BHASKARA-I & II (India’s first)He is an Astrophysicist and has made several contributions to studies such as Cosmic X-ray sources, celestial gamma-ray and effect of cosmic x-rays in the lower atmosphere.
Prof. Udupi Ramachandra Rao :- Dr. Rao undertook the development of rocket technology in India. He was the man behind the successful launch of ASLV rocket in 1992.He developed operational launch vehicle GSLV and cryogenic technology.
