Eligibility Criteria
Age
- Maximum age limit of the candidate should be 40 years for PGT teachers.
- Maximum age limit for TGTs is 35 years.
- There is no age limit for Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVs) Teachers.
- Age relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category-candidates is also applicable.
Educational Qualification
- PGT, candidates should have done Post Graduate in the respective discipline.
- TGT post, applicant should have bachelor’s degree in the respective subject and should have relevant certificates. For TGTs, candidates should also have valid CET certificate.
- All the applicants should have basic knowledge of computer.

Educational Qualification Post wise
Name of Post Educational Qualification
Primary Graduate Teacher (PRT) :-
- Candidates have Completed 2 Years PG (Post Graduation) M.Sc Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT OR Master Degree (With 50% marks) in relevant subjects.
- Candidates have completed B.Ed Degree.
- Candidates have proficiency in teaching with Hindi & English Medium.
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) :-
- Candidates must complete 4 Years Integrated Degree courses with 50% marks from Regional College of Education of NCERT OR Bachelor Degree (with 50% marks) in relevant subjects.
- Candidates must complete B.ED Degree
- Passed the CTET Paper II with B.ED Degree.
- Computer Knowledge and Diploma in relevant subjects.
Primary Teacher (PRT) :-
- Candidates have completed 10+2 (Senior Secondary School Certificate) Exam and 2 Years Diploma in Elementary Education OR 4 Years degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education OR 2 Years Diploma in Education (Special Education) Or Graduation Degree with mini. 50% marks and B.Ed Degree.
- Candidates have pass CTET Examination.
- Candidates have proficiency to teach in Hindi & English Medium.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected for PGT, TGT & PRT Posts on the basis of their overall performance in below rounds.

KVS Exam Pattern For TGT
- In TGT Examination 150 Questions asked in paper.
- Total no. of marks is 150 marks.
- The duration of the examination is 2 Hours 30 Minutes.
KVS Exam Pattern for PGT
- In KVS PGT Recruitment Exam 200 questions asked in the examination.
- The question paper will be of 200 marks.
- The duration of the examination is 3 Hours.
- Interview of 60 Marks.
KVS Exam Pattern PRT Teacher
- Time duration of PRT Examination is 2 Hours 30 Minutes.
- Total Marks is 150 and total questions are 150 Questions
- All questions are objective (MCQs).
